Boscombe’s Cliff End Hotel occupied by vandals

The hotel has been marked as a ‘public hazard’ and action should be taken to make it safe.

It has been occupied by squatters and used for fly-tipping.

The 129-year-old building is owned by Meyrick Estate, but there has been a dispute with previous leaseholders from the Boscombe Partnership, who had plans to develop the site, which lead to further delays to any future building plans.

After the Meyrick Estate re-acquired the site from the Boscombe Partnership in 2013, the council made a supplementary planning document for the area. This means that the original Victorian core of the building should be retained as part of any future development.
